Quajabin Peak : ウィキペディア英語版 | Quajabin Peak
Quajaban Peak, also known as County Peak, is a small eminence located in the western zone of the Western Australian wheatbelt, about 120 km south-east of Perth. Although not high in stature, it commands an impressive view over some of the upper catchment of the Avon River and also of the Yenyenning Lakes. The name is derived from the Nyungar language. It is not entirely clear what it means. Quaja refers to bone; and the suffix indicates either an action or belonging. It may be a bone place, like a bone, or the act of "boning" i.e. cursing. Strange events are associated with this place. Sightings and voices coming from the air. Investigations by the Western Australian Paranormal Society could not account for the phenomenon and to this day the landmark remains on their unresolved list.〔 Over twenty years ago, the McLean Family kindly donated this land to the Beverley Shire〕 ==References==
